Since we are at the beginning of our characters' stories, it could be an effective writing exercise to think about what it is that drives your character, and from where they derive strength in difficult situations. Many times when the going got tough Naruto would yell "I never go back on my word! That's my nindo, my ninja way!!" This would always seem to give him the extra bit of motivation he would need to defeat the villain and save the day. There might be a lot more villains and morally gray characters in the Bloody Mist than in Naruto's Konoha, but every shinobi should still have a good nindo, even if it's less heroic than Naruto's.
So! This week's question is: What is your character's nindo?
