Appearance: Tamako is a young toned girl with dark skin and bored eyes. She typically wears sleeveless shirts, often with a loose jacket she can throw off for when it's time to rumble. She likes earrings and black clothes. Her hair is fairly long, but it's styled out of her way. There is no bounce in her stride, despite firmly planted footsteps. Her movements are brief and purposeful; otherwise, Tamako has a stillness to her.
Personality: One day during a particularly frustrating training session, Tamako's instructor told her she could find clarity within calm. To her surprise, this worked very well. It worked so well, that, as a kid might, she tried applying it to everything. And it worKED GREA– ehm, was okay. There's a comfort in never getting too excited for something; you can't get disappointed. There's a focus without fear; you win more when you're sure you will. The part of this that may be missing for Tamako is the "mindfulness" section. She's blunt and will speak her mind if you ask her. People don't like that, so she's adapted to a distant, arguably cold type beat. For some reason, people like that less, so she sometimes bridges the gap with deceitful pranking and light bullying. People don't like that, so she limits "her people."
There is a degree of apathy and go-with-the-flow packaged with Tamako's overall vibe, which is probably what keeps her out of trouble with her peers and in the good graces of her superiors.
History: Tamako's mother died when she was very young of natural causes. Her single father who raised her would remain single, and she made sure of that. No one could replace her mother, and no one would. According to her, she scared off anyone who tried. Tale as old as time.
Perhaps as an attempt to distract her, Tamako's father introduced a hobby: practicing with swords, a Kirigakure tradition etched in history. Tamako liked the way a blade felt in her hand. She liked the way it cut through things: straight, to the point, no bullshit. She was good at it, and that made her feel good. It carried a weight to do what it needed to do with the balance and subtlety to do it effectively. This is something she was not always good at.
The Academy was an obvious development for her. She gained a bit of a reputation as a bully, despite having no record of any fights or infractions. She performed reasonably well, although her instructors noted that she relied too heavily on her skill with swords to compensate for other areas. Nevertheless: Genin-arc.
