Description: The Tenken is the Inoue family sword style, involving such incredibly fast footwork that its practitioners seem to simply disappear. The technique utilizes the top level of Shunshin in order to close with an opponent before they can react to the movement. This technique's emphasis is on quickness, rather than on top speed – it differs from other techniques of its kind by reaching the height of the practitioner's celerity without any buildup – it is sudden, and swift. Even practitioners of a lesser base speed can catch an opponent off guard because of the way they move so quickly as to vanish from sight.

This technique confers a +1 Boost to Speed, and renders the user Invisible for the movement to which this technique is applied due to advanced application of Shunshin.

Description: Another application of the Tenken principles, this is a parrying technique which swiftly redirects the enemy's attack via a direct Skill contest. If successful, the user may apply the Defense of this technique against any physical attacks (including those made of solid elements such as Ice or Earth Release, though not against attacks from energy sources such as Wind or Fire Release) made until its Defense is depleted, at which time any overflow damage must be dealt with by durability granted from Sturdy. After this is resolved, the user can activate the technique again, but not while the previous application is still up/unresolved.
